Doodle that evolved into an experiment in pretty much everything.

Digital painting practice again. Not gonna improve if I don’t keep trying.
I wanted to try that screenshot redraw thing too.

Meant to do other Alabasta characters to post with Vivi, but it took me long enough to settle on a pose for her, so she stands alone.

I accidentally caught up with Naruto, and now if you’ll excuse me I’m going to sail into the sunset on this old ship of mine.
You don’t even know how many flashbacks of life at sixteen I had while drawing this.
I was going through this box full of my old drawings and found this dragon I drew when I was little, maybe 6-7 judging by the shakiness of my signature. I thought it was kind of cute for something from almost two decades ago, so I did a redraw.

Finished the doll! She’s a mess of problems (her arms don’t have enough mobility, nor do the hip joints, and the left shoulder goes too deep into the socket and I didn’t have the clay to fix it), but I’m pretty pleased for a first try. Mainly because I never in a million years expected my first doll ever to be able to stand freely, but surprise of surprises, it does!

For the past week and a half, I’ve been working on making a ball-jointed doll out of air-dry clay. I’ve still got a bit of sanding to do, especially on the arms, and I’m afraid I won’t have the chance to paint her for some time, but here’s a progress picture.
Far from perfect, but I think I’ve already learned a lot of valuable lessons for future reference.
